Third-party tested peptides in Canada — documentation meaning
"Third-party tested" appears on many research peptide listings. As a documentation term it has a narrow, checkable meaning: an independent laboratory — not the seller — assayed a specific lot and issued a certificate that can be verified on that laboratory's own system. This page explains what the phrase does and does not establish. It contains no dosage, benefit, or therapeutic content.
What the claim should establish
- Independence. The assaying laboratory is separate from the supplier. For Hermetica Research Labs that means Janoshik Analytical and Freedom Diagnostics.
- Accession or test number. A reference that lets you confirm the document with the issuing laboratory rather than trusting a PDF.
- Lot match. The lot or batch on the certificate matches the lot printed on the vial label.
- Stated method. The technique behind the reported figure — HPLC for purity by peak area, LC-MS for mass-based identity confirmation.
- Date. When the lot was assayed, so the certificate can be aged against the reagent record.
HPLC versus identity confirmation
HPLC separates components and reports relative purity as a percentage of peak area. Mass spectrometry confirms that the observed molecular mass corresponds to the expected compound. Purity and identity are different questions; a complete certificate addresses both, and a purity percentage alone does not confirm what the material is.
What the claim does not establish
